Joel Saylor Recognized as Outstanding Reviewer by Two Geoscience Journals
Outstanding Reviewers Comprise the Top 10th Percentile in Terms of Number and Quality of Reviews Completed

Joel SaylorJoel Saylor, assistant professor in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, was recognized as an outstanding reviewer for two top geosciences journals: Earth & Planetary Science Letters (impact factor: 4.724) and Journal of South American Earth Sciences (impact factor: 1.362).

Elsevier, the publisher of both journals, recognizes outstanding reviewers as those reviewers in the top 10th percentile for the quantity and quality of reviews over a two year period.

Saylor’s research interests include sedimentology, stable isotopes, magnetostratigraphy and basin analysis. He conducts his field research in Asia, the western United States and South America. Saylor joined the department in 2013 following postdoctoral positions at Northern Arizona University and the University of Texas at Austin.
